The northern Megacity

Andy Burnham speaks to Dan McCurry about Manchester's role in the north

1st December @ 7pm on Zoom.

To rebalance the UK economy we need Manchester, Liverpool and Leeds to form into a single entity, a Megacity, and we need the small towns across the north to be sufficiently well-connected so as to provide labour and consumers to the metropolis.

How will such a major infrastructure project be achieved?

Join the Labour Party Economic Society on 1 December 2020 and listen to Andy Burnham (mayor of Greater Manchester), Zoe Billingham (head of policy and engagement at the Centre for Progressive Policy), Frank Mckenna (CX of Downtown in Business and former deputy leader of Lancashire county council) and Jane Thomas (contributor to Yorkshire Bylines & Byline Times, former director of the Brexit Civil Society Alliance and 2015 PPC in Keighley) as they discuss this prospect.
